Four New Lenox School District 122 administrators will have new jobs when two new schools open next year.
The district’s board recently appointed Haines School Principal Lee Fears as principal at Nelson Ridge Intermediate School. Haven School Principal Carla Koepke was named principal of Nelson Prairie Primary School.
The two schools, under construction, will open for the 1999-2000 school year.
Tyler-Bentley School Assistant Principal Susan Futterer will replace Fears at Haines School. Haven School will be converted into administrative offices when the new school opens.
Sandra Hullinger, who has served as assistant principal for Haines and Oster-Oakview Schools, will become assistant principal for Nelson Ridge and Nelson Prairie.
Supt. Tom Mullins said the board did not feel a need to look outside the district to hire administrators for the new schools.
“We felt we had the people,” Mullins said.
The district is seeking candidates for the jobs currently held by Futterer and Hullinger.
