CLINIC FIGHT GETS A BOOST

Anti-abortion forces led by local churches donated $4,000 Thursday to a group of pediatricians trying to stop an abortion clinic from moving into their professional building.

Pediatric Health Care Associates filed suit in Cook County Circuit Court to stop the Able Health Center from moving its clinic to 1640 N. Arlington Heights Rd. The pediatricians claim this would be a violation of their lease agreement.

“We set up the legal defense fund because a lot of people wanted to do more than put a name on a petition,” Rev. Dave Wardle, associate pastor of Arlington Heights Free Church, said Thursday.
