CITY STUDY SAYS NO CHANGE NEEDED IN ONE-WAY STREETS

The one-way streets in the downtown area should remain that way, officials said.

A village analysis of the one-way streets-eastbound Curtiss Street and westbound Burlington Avenue between Forest Avenue and Washington Street and southbound Forest and northbound Washington between Burlington and Curtiss-show no good reasons why the one-way designation should be changed, according to a staff report. The one-way streets allow optimal pedestrian safety and maintain traffic flow, the staff said.
