Cleveland left-hander Kevin Wickander left Comiskey Park unexpectedly just before warmups Friday night.

He was traded to Cincinnati for a player to be named later. Wickander, 28, was a second-round draft pick of the Indians in 1986. He was 0-0 with a 4.15 ERA this year but was one of the best pitchers on the Cleveland staff last year.
