Neeme Jarvi, the Estonian-born conductor who seems intent on recording everything with everyone, has signed a two-year contract with the English label Chandos for five recordings with the Detroit Symphony, of which he is music director. Jarvi will be heard first in a record containing Barber`s Symphony No. 1 (Op. 9) and his Overture to ”The School for Scandal,” as well as Amy Beach`s Symphony in E Minor.
