player ready...With torrential rains pouring outside, the ”home as a refuge” message brought to Chicago by fast-rising home design star Lynn Hollyn was appealing. ”More than ever, home is a sanctuary,” Hollyn said at Plunkett Furniture in Lombard. ”Home is a place to regroup and recharge the batteries.”
She was on a whirlwind tour for her antique-inspired furniture collection for Lexington Furniture Industries, which will be carried in five Chicago-area Plunkett stores.
The collection of wood, upholstered and wicker furnishings garnered so many orders from the nation`s retailers when it was introduced last year that only now is it arriving in stores.
The designer`s vision for the 1990s home ”sanctuary” is highly romantic, laced with tradition. All colors coordinate with some of the 500 other Hollyn home products, ranging from wallpaper to china.
