The Democratic candidates for President converged on Clear Lake, Iowa, last week for a fundraiser and five minutes each to make their pitch. The Wing Ding fundraiser at the Surf Ballroom brought 21 of the 22 candidates (Beto O’Rourke cancelled plans to attend following the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, his hometown). Clear Lake is about two hours north of Des Moines, home to the Iowa State Fair, where the large Democratic field has spent the last week campaigning. Here are photos of the candidates as they took the stage during the dinner.
