Push back leaf pickup schedule to match the weather
Now that the city of Naperville has extended the leaf pickup for a week due to leaves staying on the trees later, maybe it’s time to move the leaf pickup back a week or two since climate change is here to stay.

Mayor’s support of lifting mask mandate makes no sense
While reading the opinion section I saw a letter to the editor ranting about Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico. Apparently, the mayor wishes to do away with any requirement to wear masks indoors, citing a ban on mandates that’s currently in place in several neighboring states.
I have a question for the clueless Mr. Chirico. If Naperville was miraculously spared a roaring forest fire but Lisle, Aurora and Woodridge were all ablaze, would you take a match to your beautiful downtown as a senseless symbol of solidarity?
The answer is as obvious as wearing a mask in public.
