First Team

Molly Hackett, Lincoln-Way East, senior, outside hitter: Mercer recruit moved from setter to full-time hitter and responded with a team-high 257 kills. Added 182 digs and 46 aces. Was conference player of the year and all-tournament at Lincoln-Way Central.

Lauren Hatch, Marian Catholic, junior, outside hitter: South Florida recruit complemented power of Temitayo Thomas-Ailara with 205 kills. Had 13 kills in a big win over Mother McAuley. Served 22 aces. Added 82 digs and 20 blocks.

Emily Holbrook, Joliet Catholic, junior, outside hitter: Led the Angels in three different categories with 261 kills, 189 service points and 41 aces. Added 146 digs in earning all-conference honors. Was all-tournament at Metea Valley/Oswego East.

Nancy Kane, Mother McAuley, junior, setter: Worked with several new hitters, but didn’t miss a beat with 883 assists. Added more offense with 37 kills and 45 aces. Played solid defense with 284 digs and 56 blocks. Was all-tournament at Rich East.

Rachel Krasowski, Sandburg, sophomore, libero: The leader in back row for the Eagles with 410 digs. Helped out the offense as well with 35 aces and 59 assists. As a student-athlete made the AVCA Phenom list.

Maggie Meyer, Marist, senior, outside hitter: All-around contributor with 371 kills and 256 digs. Named MVP at the Wheaton Classic. Second on team with 37 blocks to help lead RedHawks to Class 4A state title.

Molly Murrihy, Marist, senior, setter: Memphis recruit broke school record with 1,132 assists. Also contributed 130 kills, 206 digs and 132 blocks. Was all-tournament at Plainfield North and Wheaton Classic.

Sarah Nahas, Joliet Catholic, senior, setter: LaSalle recruit was one of the area leaders with 619 assists. An excellent server, totaled 174 points and 32 aces. Chipped in on defense with 176 digs and 28 blocks. Was all-tournament at Metea Valley/Oswego East and ASICS Challenge.

Charley Niego, Mother McAuley, senior, outside hitter: Notre Dame recruit was one of Southland’s toughest hitters with 456 kills. Added 42 aces and led defense with 366 digs and 49 blocks. All-tournament at Rich East, ASICS Challenge and Glenbard East Autumnfest.

Temitayo Thomas-Ailara, Marian Catholic, junior, outside hitter: Northwestern recruit was a terminator on the court with 355 kills. One of the Southland’s better servers, had 44 aces and 113 points. On defense, had 176 digs and 22 blocks.

Savannah Thompson, Marist, senior, outside hitter: Central Michigan recruit produced team-leading 403 kills with 307 digs, 33 blocks and 36 aces. Was all-tournament at the ASICS Challenge.

Cassidy Wyman, Lincoln-Way Central, senior, setter/right-side hitter: St. Xavier recruit did it all for Knights with 383 assists, 160 kills, 58 aces, 107 digs and 23 blocks. Conference player of the year and was all-tournament at Lincoln-Way Central.

Second Team

Kasey Brennan, Tinley Park, senior libero: Made IHSA’s top 10 all-time list for single-season aces with 131. Added 270 service points and 469 digs. Conference player of the year and all-tournament at Oregon and Lincoln-Way Central.

Beth Cannon, Lemont, senior, outside hitter: A six-rotation player, she especially stood out at the net with 303 kills for the Indians. Also contributed 24 aces and 187 digs.

Maddie Duffner, Stagg, senior, setter: Four-year starter had had 359 assists and 197 points, earning all-conference honors. Finished her career with 1,706 assists.

Grace Green, Marist, senior, libero: Radford recruit was leader of the RedHawks defense with 547 digs. An excellent server, led Marist with 61 aces. Chipped in with 102 assists. Was all-tournament at Plainfield North and Wheaton Classic.

Maureen Imrie, Sandburg, senior, setter: Among the Southland leaders with 713 assists. Quick with the misdirect with 50 kills and served well with 34 aces. Solid on defense with 226 digs and 37 blocks. Was all-tournament at Plainfield North.

Sarah Kiwan, Shepard, senior, outside hitter: Four-year regular finished with a flourish, compiling 381 kills and 49 aces. On defense had 209 digs and 35 blocks. All-tournament at Oak Lawn, Rich East and Lyons.

Noelle Knezz, Lincoln-Way West, senior, right-side hitter/setter: Triple threat on offense for the Warriors, had 339 assists, 177 kills and 41 aces. Was all-tournament at Joliet Central, Rich East and Oak Lawn.

JoDee Kovanda, Lockport, senior, setter/right-side hitter: West Florida recruit had 232 kills, 274 assists and 46 aces. Also chipped in with 137 digs. Was all-tournament at Plainfield North and Rich East.

Hanna Lesiak, Lincoln-Way East, senior, outside hitter: Northwestern recruit has been a leader for Griffins the past two seasons. As a senior had 212 kills and 156 digs. Was all-tournament at Plainfield North.

Sarah Murczek, Richards, junior, outside hitter: Explosive hitter had 195 kills in leading Bulldogs to conference title. Also contributed 37 aces and was second on team with 91 digs. Tournament MVP at Oak Lawn.

Danielle Tyson, Chicago Christian, senior, middle hitter/right-side hitter: Kent State recruit led Knights to a 2A supersectional. Had 242 kills, 69 blocks and 139 digs. All-tournament at Chicago Christian, Joliet Central, Rich East and Plainfield Central.

Mahogany Vinson, Rich Central, senior, middle hitter: Akron recruit led Olympians with 181 kills and 75 blocks. Named Southland Athletic MVP and all-tournament at Rich South.
