Notre Dame landed the first member of its 2021 recruiting class.
Four-star quarterback Tyler Buchner of La Jolla, Calif., committed Friday.
“God, Country, Notre Dame,” Buchner wrote on Twitter. “Committed.”
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound QB from The Bishop’s School is the No. 49 recruit, the No. 2 pro-style quarterback and the No. 2 California prospect for the 2021 recruiting class, according to the 247sports.com composite rankings.
Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and USC reportedly were among the many schools that offered Buchner.
