A 40-year-old English wrestler known for his high-flying moves died Sunday, a day after competing in a championship match in the Chicago area.

The death of Benjamin Satterley, who wrestled under the name “Pac,” was announced late Sunday by All Elite Wrestling. On Saturday, he competed and lost to Andrade El Ídolo in an AEW National Championship match at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.

“Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans,” AEW said in a statement that did not list a cause of death.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed Satterley died in Des Plaines at 4:08 p.m. Sunday. The office did not list a cause of death.

Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, Satterley began wrestling at 18 after being introduced to the sport by his aunt, a wrestling fan. He signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and went on to hold multiple championships.

Satterley wrestled under the name Adrian Neville from 2012 to 2018 and was also known as “The Super Superman” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot.” He later became the inaugural AEW International Champion and a two-time AEW World Trios Champion.

“The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being,” fellow wrestler Will Ospreay posted on social media. “Honored to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”
