
WE GROW DREAMS’ FALL PLANT SALE SET FOR WATER STREET
We Grow Dreams, a nonprofit that provides training and employment for individuals with special needs, will hold a fall plant sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Foyo Plaza on Water Street in downtown Naperville.
The sale features fall mums, ornamental cabbage and kale, pansies, pumpkins and mixed herb pots, a news release said.
There also will be a variety of handcrafted stepping stones, ornamental tea cups and gift items, the release said. Free parking is available in the Water Street deck located south of the Hotel Indigo.
We Grow Dreams is a professional nursery and greenhouse that offers employment to young adults who have graduated from high school transition programs.

A group of parents founded the organization in 2004 to help young adults gain job and social skills. The nursery and greenhouse offers more than 45 specific jobs, from planting and transplanting, watering, stocking supplies, greeting customers and running the cash register.
DANADA FALL FESTIVAL FEATURES EQUESTRIAN PERFORMANCES
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County will host its annual Fall Festival at Danada from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, at the Danada Equestrian Center, 3S507 Naperville Road, Wheaton.
Admission is free, though there is a fee for some activities.
The main arena will showcase trick riding, vaulting, drill teams and therapeutic-riding demonstrations.
Among the groups scheduled to attend include the Midwest Renegades, Chicago Vaulting, Stateline Hotshots Rodeo Drill Team, Stateline Spitfires Drill Team, St. James Pony Club and the North Central Liberty Horse Club.
Guests can tour the historic barn that once housed Kentucky Derby winner Lucky Debonair and learn about horse care, grooming and tack, a news release said.
The event also includes tractor-drawn wagon rides, a “meet-and-greet” with the horses and kids’ activities. Children can decorate and ride paper hobbyhorses, enjoy pony rides and watch Grammy-nominated Wendy and DB Blues Duo and the Firefly Family Theatre. Food trucks will be on site.

RENOVATED PLAYGROUND AT KNOCH PARK NOW OPEN FOR USE
The newly renovated playground at Knoch Park, 724 S. West St., is now open, the Naperville Park District announced.
One of the district’s 2026 capital improvement projects, the playground features an inclusive spinner, a stone climber, a multiuser basket swing, and three slides at 17-feet, 12-feet and 8-feet tall, the district said.
Synthetic turf was installed for the playground’s surface.

Other playground renovations completed as part of the 2026 capital budget include Apache Park, Burr Oak, Fox Hill Greens, Queensbury Greens and Will-O-Way Park.
