Federal prosecutors charged a man after he received nude pictures or videos from multiple underage teens online, court records allege.
Corey James Jones, 29, of Cedar Lake was indicted in the U.S. District Court in Hammond Sept. 25 on charges of sexual exploitation of children and receipt of child pornography, filings show.
At least two victims told police Jones — through fake accounts — also tried to get them to meet in person to have sex, documents allege. The incidents happened from January to July 2025, according to court filings.
An investigation started after one victim’s parents, identified as Minor A, called police saying the girl sent inappropriate pictures through Snapchat, court filings allege.
Police executed a search warrant of Jones’ home on Sept. 24.
