3. Stagg 6-0-1 (6): Junior midfielder Conor Jones comes through with a big goal as the Chargers top district rival Sandburg 3-1 in a Friday night showdown.

4. Lincoln-Way East 7-2 (4): Senior midfielder Owen Bohren increases his season goal total to eight, scoring in the Griffins’ 3-1 win over Bloom and in a 2-1 loss to Elgin.

5. Lockport 4-3-1 (3): Aleko Kolliniatis scores twice in a 2-2 tie with Waubonsie Valley as the Porters look to get back on track after going 0-3-1 in their last four games.

6. De La Salle 6-3-2 (5): Kevin Gates produces a goal as the Meteors tie 3-3 with Streamwood in a rematch of last year’s Class 2A state semifinal, which the Meteors won 4-2.

7. Lemont 6-1 (7): Sophomore midfielder Konrad Tyrala produces a pair of goals in a 5-1 victory over Eisenhower, the team’s fifth straight win.

8. Providence 5-2-2 (8): Billy Savarino, who did not play last season for the Celtics, is back for his senior year and making a difference, scoring twice in a 5-0 win over Wheaton St. Francis.

9. Brother Rice 3-3-1 (9): Senior midfielder Giovanni Paz heats up with a hat trick as the Crusaders roll to an 8-0 win over Marian Catholic.

10. Oak Forest 6-1-1 (NR): Senior goalkeeper Nathan Dunaj continues to be a rock in the net for the Bengals, who have not allowed a goal in their last six games.
