3. Providence 4-0 (4): The Celtics will have to overcome some midseason adversity as Adam Nissen takes over as interim head coach following dismissal of Tyler Plantz.

4. Brother Rice 2-2 (5): Anthony Cartolano shows off his big-play abilities with an 80-yard TD catch, but the Crusaders come up just short in a 27-24 road loss to Loyola.

5. Homewood-Flossmoor 3-1 (6): Cameron Wilkerson scores one of the Vikings’ two TDs on fumble returns as the defense dominates Sandburg in a 35-13 victory.

6. Sandburg 3-1 (3): Sean Ruisz and the Eagles look to bounce back from a tough night against Homewood-Flossmoor, but it won’t be easy. Lincoln-Way East is up next.

7. St. Rita 2-2 (10): Brandon Johnson Jr. breaks free for a 72-yard TD run to spark the Mustangs on their way to a 28-12 win over Wheaton St. Francis.

8. Marist 2-2 (8): The RedHawks’ young talent was on display against Mount Carmel as sophomore receiver Conor Fleming catches a TD pass and junior JJ Nash hauls in two.

9. Lincoln-Way Central 3-1 (9): Aiden Noto and the Knights have reloaded quickly with a mostly new team. How quickly? We’ll find out Friday when they take on Homewood-Flossmoor.

10. Morgan Park 3-1 (NR): Junior quarterback Ronald Smith Jr. continues to impress, tossing a pair of TDs as the Mustangs cruise to a 61-7 win over Payton.
