SCIENCE VIDEO CONTEST OPEN TO NAPERVILLE-AREA STUDENTS

KidsMatter and the ThinkGlobal Arts Foundation are sponsoring a video contest, “Science in a Snap — From Curiosity to Connection: The Power of Science Storytelling.”

Students in 6th to 12th grades from Naperville District 203 and Indian Prairie District 204, Naperville private schools and homeschool students living in Naperville are invited to participate. Entries are due at midnight Sept. 30.

The video contest is being held in advance of an Oct. 7 keynote address by Emily Driscoll, an Emmy Award winning science video producer.

Five finalists and five honorable mentions will be chosen in divisions for junior high/middle school students and for high schoolers. Winners will receive a combination of cash prizes and gifts. The top three finalists will have their videos screened before Driscoll’s speech, which is part of KidsMatter’s 25th anniversary leadership series.
