
Stevie Wonder announced a “Songs in the Key of Life: 50th Anniversary” world tour on Tuesday, including a concert at the United Center in Chicago on Nov. 21.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept 10, in the public on-sale. No presales have been announced for the handful of North American dates on the tour. Wonder’s official website (steviewonder.net) invites fans to sign up for more information from Universal Music via email.
Wonder, a Grammy Award-winning musician 25 times over, last performed in Chicago as the headliner of the opening celebration for the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park in June. His seminal double album “Songs in the Key of Life” was released in 1976.
His new tour, promoted by Live Nation, opens in the U.K. on Oct. 13, comes to the U.S. for a concert Nov. 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, followed by stops in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and two shows at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, closing Dec. 19 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
