An a capella concert featuring award-winning vocal groups will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Road.

Popular Chicago-area quartets Upside Downers and Stratosphere also will be performing.
Naperville-based Chorus of DuPage, with members from throughout the Chicago area, will perform songs such as “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Yesterday, Daydream” and “You’re Nobody ’til Somebody Loves You” in classic four-part barbershop harmony style, a news release said.
The guest quartets will perform separately and join the host chorus to conclude the show, the release said.

Heinen’s grocery store in Naperville is holding a live hatch chile roasting event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, to celebrate the arrival of the hatch chile, a New Mexican specialty known for its distinctive taste.
Customers can watch as the chiles — available for only a few weeks a year — are roasted over an open flame, sample freshly roasted peppers and learn about recipes using them at the 1244 E. Chicago Ave. store, a news release said.
“Hatch chiles have a unique loyal following because their flavor is so distinctive — smoky, sweet and just the right amount of heat,” Dan Haverlock, Heinen’s director of produce, said in the release.
“For 14 years, Heinen’s has celebrated Hatch season with live roasting events, and it’s become something our communities genuinely look forward to. We’re excited to bring this experience to our newest store in Naperville this year.”
