CITYWIDE BRUSH COLLECTION FOR STORM DEBRIS
Naperville will conduct a special citywide brush collection beginning the week of Monday, Aug. 17, to help residents clean up after the recent severe weather.
Residents have two options to dispose of yard waste and loose brush and branches, city officials said.
Under the first, Groot will college bagged and bundled brush and yard waste on residents’ regular garbage and recycling days during the weeks of Aug. 17 and 24, and no yard waste stickers will be needed, officials said. Stickers will once again be required starting the week of Aug. 31. To learn about Groot’s yard waste collection guidelines, go to www.naperville.il.us/yardwaste.
Additionally, the city’s public works crews will collect loose brush and tree debris starting Monday. Residents must place loose, unbundled brush and tree branches on the parkway by 6 a.m.
Crews will pass through each neighborhood once and will not return after an area is completed. Once crews have completed a neighborhood, residents should not put any tree debris by the curb, officials said. To view a collection map, go to www.naperville.il.us/yardwaste.
