A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after colliding with a pickup truck pulling onto East Warrenville Road in Naperville, police said.

The crash occurred about 11:15 p.m. when the cyclist, a 23-year-old man from Woodstock traveling eastbound on Warrenville Road from Washington Street, struck the pickup as it was making a left-hand turn onto westbound Warrenville Road from a private drive on the street’s south side, the release said.

The man was pronounced dead on scene. His 22-year-old female passenger, also from Woodstock, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said.

The pickup truck’s driver was a 20-year-old man from West Chicago. He was evaluated at the scene and refused medical treatment.

Warrenville Road was closed in both directions from Washington Street to Lucent Lane until about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday for the crash investigation, the release said.
