No major injuries reported in Homewood condominium fire

Homewood firefighters contained a fire Tuesday afternoon at a six-story condominium building at 18400 Cherry Creek Drive, following a coordinated response from multiple departments, officials said.

The fire was limited to one condominium unit on the fifth floor and all residents were safety evacuated, the Homewood Fire Department said in a news release.

Four people were treated for minor smoke inhalation injuries and taken to a hospital, according to the release.

Fire officials anticipated residents would be allowed to return to their homes Tuesday evening, except for those living on the fifth floor, where damage assessment and cleanup efforts will continue.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
