Crown Point police investigating death of girl, 14, found in hot tub

Crown Point police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl found unresponsive in a hot tub Wednesday morning, according to a release.

Around 8:24 a.m., officers with the Crown Point Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of East Greenwood Avenue following a report of an unresponsive juvenile in a hot tub, according to the release from the police department.

When officers arrived, the Crown Point Fire Department was performing life-saving measures on the girl, police said.

She was transported to Franciscan Health Crown Point, where she was later pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation by the Crown Point Police Department. No further information is available.
