A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday night on Miller Road in unincorporated West Dundee, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
The male cyclist struck a Nissan SUV about 8:30 p.m. that had been stopped on eastbound Miller Road, near Parsons Road, a sheriff’s office news release said. It had been stopped behind a disabled Chevrolet SUV, which was partially on the shoulder while waiting for oncoming traffic to clear.
The impact of the crash pushed the Nissan into the roadway.
“It is unclear as to what extent, if any, others sustained injuries,” the release said. “At this time, no other information on the involved vehicles, including names of individuals (involved), will be released due to (the) pending investigation.”
The victim’s name has not been released. An autopsy was to be conducted Monday by the Kane County coroner’s office.
