The event will feature a wide variety of new and like-new wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, eveningwear and accessories at discounted prices, according to a news release. Admission is free, but reservations for appointment times are required.
All dresses are discounted up to 80% off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, with “each dress priced individually based on the designer, style, year, and condition,” the nonprofit’s website said. Every pop-up event has a rack of $99 bridal gowns.
On Thursday and Friday, sale hours are 3 to 7 p.m. The first hour Thursday will be set aside for first responders and healthcare workers. Saturday’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with all remaining gowns marked down an additional 50%.

CARPENTERSVILLE POLICE ISSUE FIREWORKS CITATIONS
Carpentersville police officers responded to 34 reported fireworks complaints and issued six citations for illegal use between July 2 and 5, according to Deputy Police Chief Greg Poulos.
The fine for each citation was $50.
In order to issue a fireworks-related citation, police have to be able to attribute possession or use to someone based on observation or other admissible evidence, Poulos said.
“Under Illinois law, enforcement action requires sufficient evidence to establish probable cause that a specific individual possessed, used or was otherwise responsible for the prohibited fireworks,” Poulos said in an email. “The mere presence of fireworks at a gathering or an officer’s arrival at a location where fireworks have been discharged does not, by itself, establish that a specific individual committed the violation.”
‘DARE TO DREAM JR.’ AT THE LODGE THIS WEEKEND

Tickets are $17 and can be purchased by going to app.arts-people.com/index.php?show=345141, emailing [email protected] or calling 847-278-7185.
