A 66-year-old woman was critically wounded Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., the woman was outside waiting for a ride in the 800 block of West 59th Street when two dark-colored vehicles drove past and an exchange of gunfire ensued, striking the woman to the chest, police said.
The woman was taken to UChicago Medicine where she was listed in critical condition. Detectives were investigating.
