Aurora officials have announced details of the city’s rescheduled July 3 fireworks show, which will now take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 10, at RiverEdge Park, featuring live music and entertainment, food trucks and more, according to a city news release.
The event was postponed July 3 due to multiple rounds of severe storms that hit the area last Thursday and Friday.
Live music at the event on Friday, July 10, will include performances from DJ Suavesmooth and The 6050’s, a local band consisting of residents and city employees that performs music from the 1980s, ‘90s and 2000s.
The city’s fireworks show at the event will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Food trucks are set to be on site at Wilder Park and include A-Town Lemonade, Culinary Gangster, Dilladawgs, Doggie Diner Concessions, Kona Ice, La Michoacana, Cousins Maine Lobster and Saavedra Tacos.
Food from Strawberries BBQ will be available at RiverEdge Park.
Jon Zaghloul, city of Aurora spokesperson, said a variety of parking options will be offered on Friday, with handicap accessible parking at the north end of the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot.
The Aurora Transportation Center, in addition to city parking lots P, Y, A, X, W and the North River Street parking lot, will all be open for attendees to park, he said.
The parking lots at the Prisco Community Center and Cole Center Administration Office will not be available for parking during the event, officials said.
