A 59-year-old woman was critically wounded overnight in a drive-by shooting on the Near West Side that also injured another woman and a man, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 3:15 a.m. Thursday, the victims were standing outside in the 1300 block of West Hasting Street in the Little Italy/UIC neighborhood. A black vehicle pulled up, and someone inside opened fire in their direction, police said.
A 59-year-old woman suffered gunshot wounds to the body, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital. Another woman, 43, also suffered wounds to the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was listed in good condition, police said. A 24-year-old man was shot in the legs and was listed in good condition at Stroger, police said.
The black vehicle fled east on Hasting Street after the shooting. Detectives were investigating.
