The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events on Thursday announced the musical lineup for this summer’s Taste of Chicago, and it has some of the biggest names in years. Headliners include hometown favorites Beach Bunny and Common, the Grammy-winning reggae artist Original Koffee, R&B singer Babyface and the Mexican pop star Julieta Venegas.

Taste of Chicago will run July 8-12 in Grant Park, with free admission, music on multiple stages and a total of 84 food vendors in all. The full musical lineup for the mainstage includes MCs and DJs daily across all five days from 4:45 p.m. to 6 p.m., then:

July 8

6-6:40 p.m. – Friko
7-8:15 p.m. – Beach Bunny

July 9

6-6:40 p.m. – Funkadesi
7-8:15 p.m. – Original Koffee

July 10

6-6:40 p.m. – Recoechi + Kaicrewsade
7-8:15 p.m. – Common

July 11

6-6:40 p.m. – Opal Staples & Isaiah Sharkey
7-8:15 p.m. – Babyface

July 12

6-6:40 p.m. – Valebol
7-8:15 p.m. – Julieta Venegas

Plus a rotating cast of food trucks and restaurant pop-ups. The lineup of food vendors is selected in collaboration with the nonprofit Illinois Restaurant Association. Along with the mainstage, the Goose Island Stage will showcase local music artists throughout the weekend.  More information at www.chicago.gov
