A motorcyclist has died from injuries he received last week in a North Chicago collision, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said Thursday.
Rudolfo Suris, 36, of Grayslake, died Wednesday from his injuries at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, the coroner’s office said.
Suris was badly hurt on May 7 at 12:08 a.m. when, authorities said, he was driving his 2021 BMW motorcycle north on U.S. Route 41 and struck the rear of a Kia sedan that was also heading north.

He was thrown from the motorcycle. Paramedics brought Suris to Lake Forest Hospital, and he was later transferred to Condell. Suris died Wednesday in the intensive care unit, the coroner’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
