There are some new places to check out at Burr Ridge Village Center, with more on their way.
Some new additions, including two eating places and a nail salon already have recently opened, and Enclave Coworking, which will offer flexible work spaces, is scheduled to open in the fall.
“Change can be good; it brings growth and shows vitality,” Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso said. “Change continues to come to Burr Ridge that keeps it a very special place.”
Grasso mentioned Bridewell Tavern, which was opened recently at 595 Village Center Drive by the same owners who operate Nabuki, Bar Poca Madre, and Pronto.
“Burr Ridge is lucky to have Bridewell Tavern to offer more variety and fun for diners and sports fans,” Grasso said.
Bridewell Tavern bills itself as someplace that “offers an elevated take on traditional tavern fare, featuring fine cocktails and a menu centered on high-quality, seed-oil-free ingredients.”
Just opening April 28 was Kilwins Burr Ridge, 745 Village Center Drive, which offers visitors the opportunity to watch treats being made in the store.
Kilwins started in 1947 when Don and Katy Kilwin opened a small bakery in Petoskey, Michigan, according to information from the company. Over time, the business evolved, focusing on handmade chocolates, fudge and ice cream that would become the hallmark of the Kilwins brand. Kilwins now has more than 185 locations around the country, including 10 in Illinois.
The new Burr Ridge Kilwins was opened by Mayank Jethva and Nikit Tailor, college best friends.

“My first experience with Kilwins was during college summers, meeting up with friends at the Saint Charles location on the Fox River,” said Jethva. He said he and Tailor became friends in college while attending Purdue University. “It became one of those go-to spots that just felt like summer.”
Those pleasant summer memories inspired Jethva and Tailor to bring Kilwins to Burr Ridge.
“For me, it started with nostalgia,” Tailor said. “Some of my best college memories are meeting up with friends at the Kilwins in Saint Charles during the summer. That connection to the brand never really faded.”
Eventually, the two friends decided they no longer wanted to just visit Kilwins. They wanted to be part of the story.
“We wanted to do something on our own, and Kilwins felt like the perfect fit,” Tailor said.
Prior to joining Kilwins as franchisees, Jethva worked as a software engineer and Tailor served as a product manager.
“We’re most looking forward to being part of this community,” Jethva said. “The area is beautiful, and Burr Ridge Village Center, with its upscale dining and shopping options, always has something going on.”
Coco Nail Bar recently opened at 530 Village Center Drive and bills itself as offering a “modern, design-forward nail salon experience rooted in both relaxation and precision.” The business offers a variety of services, from classic manicures and spa pedicures to more advanced techniques, such as Russian manicures and long-wear gel applications.
Enclave Coworking will be a 3,300-square-foot space that will offer private offices, coworking memberships, and shared areas designed for productivity.
