Authorities said “multiple gunmen” exited a vehicle outside a Grand Crossing convenience store and sprayed gunfire, striking three men and killing one of them late Friday morning.

The three male victims, ages 31, 40, and 48, were all struck by gunfire just before noon in the 300 block of West 75th Street, according to a preliminary statement from Chicago police. Public records have the shooting address as a convenience store.

The gunmen exited a sedan and opened fire on the 31-year-old victim, striking him multiple times, but also striking the other two victims, police said. Police did not say whether the other two victims were bystanders.

The youngest victim was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His identity was not immediately released.

The 40-year-old victim, who was struck in the abdomen, was also taken to St. Bernard in serious condition. The 48-year-old man was struck in the leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

Police said no arrests had been made in the shooting as Wentworth Area detectives continued their investigation.
