
The Batavia Lions Club will hold its 44th annual plant sale fundraiser on Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, club officials said.
Locally-grown hanging baskets will be available for $30 each, according to a press release about the sale. All proceeds will support the club’s projects for Batavia residents, officials said.
On Friday, baskets will be available to purchase from 5 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Wilson and Water streets in Batavia, the release said.
On Saturday, baskets will be offered at four locations in Batavia beginning at 9 a.m. Sales will continue until 2 p.m., but may end sooner if supplies run out, according to the release. Saturday sale locations are the corner of Wilson and Water streets, the corner of Wilson and Prairie streets, 750 Main St. at Mallory Street and a roaming wagon in 14th Colony subdivision/Cherry Park.
Payment by cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted, club officials said.
