An online survey run by Cook County to collect feedback on uses of the partially demolished Oak Forest Hospital campus will be open until Thursday.
The survey is available in English and Spanish at cookcountyil.gov/oakforest. Completed surveys can be emailed to [email protected].
The same survey was distributed April 8 to attendees of a community meeting at Markham courthouse, which drew more than 100 attendees in person and online, according to the county.
The 150-acre, county-owned property at 159th Street and Cicero Avenue, close to Oak Forest’s Metra stop, is in the midst of a multiyear demolition project planned to take until 2028.
In addition to adjoining Oak Forest, the property is also close to Midlothian, Markham, Tinley Park and Country Club Hills. The survey is targeted at nearby residents, business owners and people who commute through the area.
