
STULL NAMED NEW CHILDREN’S MUSEUM PRESIDENT
Kimberly Stull has been named the new president and CEO of the DuPage Children’s Museum, effective June 9, replacing Andrea Ingram, who is stepping down after six years.
Stull has nearly 25 years of experience at the museum, serving most recently as its executive vice president of joyful learning, a news release said. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in helping create hands-on learning environments and expanding interdisciplinary experiences for children and families.
Stull said in the release she plans to build on Ingram’s leadership and continue creating meaningful experiences for children and families as the museum nears its 40th anniversary.
The museum also announced the promotion of Chief Financial Officer Gerilyn Johnson to executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer. Johnson joined the museum in 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance management, the release said.
DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE OPEN HOUSE PLANNED
A public open house to obtain input on the third phase of downtown streetscape changes will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.
The project aims to rebuild Jefferson Avenue between Washington and Main streets and Main Street between Jefferson and Van Buren avenues. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the spring 2027.
Feedback is sought being sought by Naperville’s Transportation, Engineering, and Development Business Group on preferred elements to be included in the final design. No formal presentation will be given. City staff and consultants will be on hand to answer questions.
The project includes utility repairs and upgrades, streetscape modernization, road reconstruction and pavement upgrades. It will create new spaces for trees and open spaces for businesses as well as improved pedestrian mobility and accessibility, officials said.
Project information and exhibit boards will be posted at naperville.il.us/dtprogress after the meeting.

SUNRISE ROTARY TO HOLD NEW MEMBER SESSION
The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise will hold a get-together from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Quigley’s Irish Pub, 43 E. Jefferson Ave., to welcome prospective members.
Club members will be in attendance to meet with people interested in learning more about the club and its activities. The event is a casual informational evening, and there is no obligation, officials said in a news release.
The 35-year-old organization meets two or three Friday mornings per month at the Naperville Country Club. Meetings includes breakfast, fellowship, project updates and an inspirational or informational speaker. The club has about 45 members who raise funds to give back to the community, the release said.
The Rotary sponsors three annual events: NaperLights, the holiday display along Water Street and the DuPage River in downtown Naperville; the St. Paddy’s Day 5K, held prior to the Naperville St. Patrick’s Day parade; and the Rotary Ride, a summer cross country bike event.

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL STUDENTS RECEIVE MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
Two students from Naperville Central High School received scholarships as part of the National Merit Scholarship program.

Acer P. Colbenson, who is planning to study mechanical engineering, received the National Merit Paramount Scholarship. Amy R. Yang, who is pursuing computer science, received the National Merit Ametek Scholarship.
The National Merit Scholarship Corp. released its first round of scholarships this week and will name additional National Merit Scholarship and college-sponsored Merit Scholarship award winners in the ensuing months.
In the first group of winners of about 700 high school seniors earned corporate-sponsored awards financed by about 115 companies, foundations and business organizations. Renewable awards range from $1,000 to $10,000 per year or in a single payment, the organization said.
High school juniors entered the 2026 National Merit Scholarship program when they took the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. In September, more than 16,000 semifinalists were selected nationwide, representing less than 1% of the nation’s seniors.
To reach the finalist stage, each semifinalist had to write an essay and include information abut their extracurricular activities, awards and leadership positions. They also have to have an outstanding academic record, earn high test scores and be recommended by a high school official.
