MAINTENANCE WORK PLANNED FOR CITY PARKING DECKS

Maintenance work is to start this month on two downtown Naperville parking facilities.

Concrete patching will begin Monday, April 20, at the Central Parking Facility, 75 E. Chicago Ave., and caulking and sealing work the week of April 27 at the Water Street Parking Deck, 120 Water St.

About 10 parking spaces will be closed where work is being done at the Central facility, officials said. Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and may work on Saturday, if necessary. The work is expected to take about one week.

At the Water Street deck, portions of the first and second levels will be closed while work is done, officials said.

Crews will do one half of a level at a time to ensure as much parking as possible is available. Closures may impact some handicapped parking spaces, but staff will designate an equal number of temporary ADA-compliant spaces for use, officials said.

Crews are expected to be on-site from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and may work Saturdays, as needed. Work is expected to last through mid-May.
