Adrian Fulgencio has been appointed as the new assistant superintendent of Business and Operations for Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Elementary District 181.

Fulgencio is replacing Mindy Bradford, who has accepted a new opportunity at a unit district closer to her home. She began work in District 181 in July 2023.

“We are grateful for Mindy’s dedicated service to D181 over the past three years,” said Karen O’Connor, District 181’s communications director.

Fulgencio isn’t new to the district, having previously served across two departments. He began his tenure in the Buildings and Grounds Department before transitioning to the Finance Department, where he served as an accounts payable coordinator and a business financial analyst. Fulgencio is returning to District 181 from Peotone Unit District 207U, where he currently is the chief business official.

“He brings extensive experience and specialized knowledge to this role, and the district is confident that his leadership will be a significant asset to our operations,” O’Connor said.

Incoming District 181 Superintendent Jim Wipke was part of the team that interviewed Fulgencio.

“In a highly competitive pool of candidates, Adrian consistently stood out throughout our (chief school business official) search process,” Wipke said. “With his deep ties to D181 and his current role as a CSBO in another district, he offers a valuable combination of institutional knowledge and financial leadership. His technical mastery, exceptional communication skills, and commitment to the district’s fiscal health establish him as an incredible asset to our team.”
