
The Harris Theater for Music and Dance has announced its 2026-27 season of dance, music and theater, its 20th anniversary season in Millennium Park, opening with a visit from the Trisha Brown Dance Company in September. The upcoming season will also include the Harris’s Chamber Music Series and Mix at Six, along with other programs. Trisha Brown Dance Company (7:30 p.m. Sept. 17): With a night titled “Dancing with Bob: Rauschenberg, Brown, and Cunningham Onstage,” the New York company celebrates collaborations with Robert Rauschenberg in dance featuring his costume and set design.
“Mahler X Notorious B.I.G. X 2PAC” (7:30 p.m. Oct. 24): Conductor and creator Steve Hackman (“Beethoven X Beyonce”) returns to the Harris with a new musical fusion.
Compagnie Hervé Koubi (7:30 p.m. Nov. 14): The Chicago debut of choreographer Hervé Koubi. According to the season announcement on Tuesday, “Sol Invictus” will combine “hip hop, capoeira and other martial arts with powerful imagery.”
A.I.M by Kyle Abraham (7:30 p.m. Feb. 4, 2027): Abraham’s contemporary dance company presents “White Space” with music from composers Jason Moran and Nico Muhly, performed live by Moran.
Opera Atelier with Haymarket Opera Orchestra (7 p.m. March 20, 2027): Opera Atelier music director David Fallis conducts Handel’s “The Resurrection.”
Aga Khan Master Musicians (7:30 p.m. April 7, 2027): Musicians Feras Charestan, Abbos Kosimov, Basel Rajoub, Yurdal Tokcan, Wu Man, Vincent Peirani and Vincent Ségal present a night of global music “inspired by the ancient routes that connected trade and culture between Asia and the Mediterranean.”
Alonzo King LINES Ballet (8 p.m. May 1 and 2 p.m. May 2, 2027): A Harris return for the contemporary dance company to close the season, including a gala performance.
