A 37-year-old woman has died following a vehicle crash in Batavia Wednesday afternoon that left several injured, according to the Batavia Police Department.

The crash occurred at around 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of North Randall Road and Mill Street, and involved a Tesla sedan and a Dodge pickup truck, officials said. A preliminary investigation indicated that the Tesla sedan was heading south on Randall Road and was attempting to turn left onto eastbound McKee Street, while the Dodge was traveling north on Randall Road, when the crash occurred, according to police.

As a result of the crash, two female occupants of the Tesla were taken to an area hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, officials said. A man who had been driving the Dodge was also taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, as was the occupant of a Nissan SUV that was also involved in the crash, police said.

Since then, the front-seat passenger of the Tesla who had sustained life-threatening injuries, a 37-year-old woman, has died, the police department said.

Charges have not been filed at this point, the department said, but the crash remains under investigation.
