William Naper Latshaw, a one-time Naperville resident, was just a toddler when this studio portrait was taken in 1923. According to his online obituary, Latshaw was 97 when he died in Joplin, Missouri, in 2020. He spent his life working for advertising companies and loved collecting antiques. He was the son of William Grover Latshaw, one of Naperville’s first foot-route mail carriers, and Ethel May Eichelberger, a great-granddaughter of Capt. John Naper, founder of Naperville, according to published reports.
