The historic Studebaker Theater will play host this summer to a large, multi-illusionist show titled “Champions of Magic.”
Tickets go on sale Friday for an initial month-long run, although the hope is for the international production, timed to coincide with Chicago’s peak tourist season, to play all summer at the recently renovated venue inside the Fine Arts Building.
“Champions of Magic,” which typically features five magicians and lasts a little over two hours, has British origins and has been traversing the globe since 2013. The Chicago cast will include the British duo Young & Strange, the American magician Liberty Larsen and the Mexican-American escapologist Fernando Velasco.
“Champions of Magic” opens June 6 in the Studebaker Theater at the Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Ave.; tickets from $69.50 at championsofmagictour.com
