
A Bolingbrook man was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 34-year-old Joliet resident Miranda Grocesley at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at a South Holland home.
Marcus Teague is in custody in Jasper County, Indiana, awaiting extradition to Cook County on murder charges, said Julia Huisman, South Holland director of communications.
Teague is in custody in Indiana for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to a Jasper County arrest log published by the Kankakee Valley Post-News.
Grocesley’s cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Huisman confirmed Grocesley was shot during a gathering at a home on Park Lane near 155th Street. She was taken to UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial, where she died of her injuries. The motive is unknown.
