A Roseland man has been charged with murder in connection to a 2-month-old boy’s death from child abuse-related injuries earlier this year.
Anthony Evans, 23, faces one felony count of murder.
On the morning of April 28, Kayson Flowers was found unresponsive in a home located at 243 E. 106th St. in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. Police at the time said the infant’s family members brought him to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy later ruled his death a homicide due to multiple injuries from child abuse.
Evans was arrested Monday by Chicago police and the U.S. Marshal Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood.
Evans is due to appear in court for a detention hearing on Thursday.
