The following homicides were reported recently by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Homicides were reported recently in Dolton as well as in Harvey, where police said two other deaths are related although no charges have been filed.

Jordan Hall, 19, of the 0-99 block of East 147th Street in Harvey, was shot multiple times July 31 in the 140 block of West Sibley Boulevard in Dolton, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office

He was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. that day at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.

In Harvey, a Chicago man died from a stab wound to the chest Aug. 3, according to the office.

Desmond Carter, 26, of the 12300 block of South Lowe Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 3 at Ingalls Memorial, according to the medical examiner’s office.

His death was ruled a homicide.

Carter’s death was separate from two shooting deaths that Harvey police say were related.

One took place at a party Aug. 2 in the 14400 block of Des Plaines Street.

According to incident reports, the party was underway just after 8 p.m. when two people arrived and opened fire. One of the partygoers was armed and licensed for concealed carry and returned fire, striking and killing one attacker and injuring the other.

The injured suspect was taken to a hospital in stable condition and, as of earlier this week, was in police custody.

During the shooting seven people were injured, including a 4-year-old boy.

The suspected shooter was identifed as 24-year-old Charles Lipsey, 24, of the 4300 block of Arlington Drive in Richton Park, according to the medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the house party at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2, according to the office.

Police, at a news conference last week, said they believe a man who died after a shooting early in the morning of Aug. 3 may have been targeted in retaliation with the shooting the previous day.

A spokesperson for the city said a man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside a minivan in the 200 block of Calumet Boulevard in Harvey.

The man who died was 28-year-old Jeremiah Adtutu-Bofah, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Addresses provided by the medical examiner’s office showed Adtutu-Bofah as being most recently from Chicago’s South Side, 7300 block of South Artesian Avenue, and the 100 block of West 147th Street in Harvey.
