United Airlines was working to resume flights nationwide Wednesday evening after the Chicago-based carrier issued a ground stop due to an unspecified technology issue.

At about 9 p.m., the carrier in a statement said the technology issue had been resolved and that “while we expect residual delays, our team is working to restore our normal operations.”

The ground stop was issued at around 6:30 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration website. Affected airports alongside Chicago included Denver, Newark, Houston and San Francisco, per the FAA.

The FAA stated that it “offered full support to help address their flight backlog and remain in close contact with United.”
