At least four people where fatally wounded in separate shootings overnight throughout the city, Chicago police reported Saturday morning.
The youngest of the victims was a 16-year-old girl who was wounded to the throat and arrived at Jackson Park Community Hospital.

Officers responded to the hospital about 11 p.m. Friday after two victims were wounded in the 1200 block of East 83rd Street in the Avalon Park neighborhood.
The girl and a 35-year-old man were approached by someone on foot who opened fire in their direction. The man suffered a wound to a thigh and was listed in good condition at the hospital but the teenage girl was pronounced dead, according to police.
She was identified as Meeyah Smith of the Grand Crossing neighborhood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The latest fatal shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday on the West Side in the Austin neighborhood, police said.
A 30-year-old man was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head in the 1000 block of North Lavergne Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
About 2 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 3400 block of West 62nd Place in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood. A 52-year-old old man was found un responsive with a gunshot wound to the back.
A witness said he was approached by two people on foot who opened fire. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Friday night, a 36-year-old man was shot in the head in the 6400 block of South Winchester Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood. Officers responded to a call of a person shot and discovered the unresponsive man who was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified as Marco A. Velasquez of the same block where he was fatally wounded, according to the medical examiner’s office.
No one was in custody for any of the fatal shootings and detectives were investigating.
