Officials were called to a fire at a school overnight on the Northwest Side in the Dunning neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday, police and fire officials were summoned to a fire at Chicago Academy located in the 3400 block of North Austin Avenue, police said.
Officials extinguished a fire on the third floor of the school that was closed at the time the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.
Officials said Thursday morning the fire was accidental and most likely was spurred from work done earlier on the roof where flames erupted during the night.
