A woman was charged Monday with multiple counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery in connection to a stabbing that injured three people in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on Saturday, Chicago police said.

The suspect, 29-year-old Asia Boyd, was charged with three felony counts of first-degree attempted murder, three felony counts of aggravated battery – use of deadly weapon and three felony counts of aggravated battery – great bodily harm.

Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a call of multiple people stabbed in the 6200 block of South Kedzie Avenue. When they arrived, officers learned that an argument between two groups turned physical when a 29-year-old woman – now identified as Boyd – pulled out a sharp object and attacked several people, police said.

A second woman, 47, hit people with a closed fist, police said. Charges against her still were pending.

A 47-year-old man suffered a puncture wound to the left eye and was to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in critical condition. A 31-year-old man suffered a laceration to the face and was taken to the same hospital and listed in fair condition. A 37-year-old man suffered a puncture wound to the left hand and was taken to UChicago Medicine and listed in fair condition.

A 36-year-old man who suffered lacerations to the left side of the head and back refused medical treatment. A female suffered an eye irritation from a sprayed substance and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said. A woman who suffered a laceration to the forehead refused medical treatment.
