Boy, 13, and 4 others injured in Rogers Park hit-and-run

A 13-year-old boy riding his bicycle in the Rogers Park neighborhood was struck in a hit-and-run by a driver who also injured two juveniles and two adults in a car,  Chicago police said.

Shortly after 6;30 p.m. Wednesday, a driver traveling at a high rate of speed in a vehicle struck a 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle in the 1600 block of West Jonquil Terrace, police said.

The driver also hit a blue Nissan with two adults and two children, ages 10 and 7, inside the vehicle, police said.

All of the injured victims were taken in critical condition to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford and police said.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
