Shield Advisory Group (SAG) was created by its two founders, Matthew R. Meehan and Luigi Rosabianca, to help small business owners grow their companies. Matthew spent over two decades on Wall Street and now is using that experience to help small and medium-sized businesses obtain the capital they need. Rosabianca, known as “The Professor,” has a diverse educational background in architecture, law and political science and is a strategy expert who helps analyze a business’s strengths and weaknesses and offers actionable solutions.

Typically, entrepreneurs can wear many hats: They can be CEOs, brand marketers, product developers and investors. However, the SAG founders do not have the time for to be all those things. As SAG advisors, the duo takes a personalized approach to provide the support, resources and tools entrepreneurs need to scale their success.

The cofounders established the company in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Meehan, they saw how much small businesses were suffering.

“Many owners and entrepreneurs felt isolated and had no help navigating these unprecedented times,” he says. “Large corporations had the resources to pursue tax credits and government programs to aid in their recovery. But the little guys didn’t have the advantage of an advisory board to do the heavy lifting. We launched The Liquid Lunch Project as an extension of Shield Advisory Group to help reach more struggling business owners,” he says.

Shield Advisory Group offers tailor-made solutions for growth all in one place. It has a team that can assist business owners with everything from funding, accounting, payroll services, consulting acquisitions, and more. The Liquid Lunch Project podcast is a SAG arm and just one more helping small businesses succeed in America. Rosabianca says, “Each week, we speak with industry leaders, big thinkers, visionaries, authors, and CEOs who offer up valuable insight and advice to our listeners. We like to say it’s a masterclass in entrepreneurship for those who want to get things done.”

The Liquid Lunch Project podcasters advise all prospective entrepreneurs to prioritize four critical assets, i.e., time, team, tools and relationships. “We’re all given the same 24 hours in a day, but it’s how you use those hours that will set you apart,” Meehan adds. “Give each day a purpose. It could be grinding or unwinding, but whatever it is, make it intentional. Again, you should pay attention to who you surround yourself with. You aren’t doing yourself any favors by keeping company with a bunch of ‘yes men’ who don’t challenge you to grow and think outside the box. Remember, iron sharpens iron.”

The duo also emphasizes ensuring you have the tools to do your job well and efficiently and invest in what you need for long-term success. Likewise, entrepreneurship can be an isolating experience. You need to prioritize spending time with the people you love and care about to remind you that the hustle and hard work is worth it.

SAG has various achievements to show off. Among them is the recently launched Friday morning newsletter, The Weekly, an extension of the Liquid Lunch Project. It’s another free resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs that covers tech, finance, small business and more. The company has also helped 1,000 customers receive over $1 billion in capital and tax credits.

The duo hopes to help 100,000 small business owners achieve their dreams in the next two to five years.
