This election, every way you look at it you lose

I cannot recall when I first heard voters say, “I am voting for the lesser of two evils.” Perhaps it was when the classic song by Simon and Garfunkel, “Mrs. Robinson,” proclaimed what many voters felt then and feel even more now:

“Going to the candidates debate

“Laugh about it, shout about it

“When you’ve got to choose

“Every way you look at this, you lose.”

With this year’s presumptive presidential candidates of the Democratic and Republican parties, some may conclude the nation has reached unprecedented lows. Therefore, I hope this is the time for a third political party to rise so that the voters can decide to pull the lever for the least of three evils rather than settle for the lesser of two.
